 Our heartfelt sympathies to Late Mr. Poopalapillai Sangaravel Retired G.A. for Batticaloa, Senior Old Boy of Shivananda Vidyalaya, Patron and Adviser of the OBA, London, and Head of the Department of various departments, who departed on 10th June, 2008.
We are grateful for the precious assistance and concern he had shown to this school as a Shivanandian. His great service is highly appreciated. We fondly remember you though you have parted us.
May his soul rest in peace.

 Congratulation to the Shivanandian Cricket Team who clashed with the Trincomalee Sri Koneswara Hindu College at the 15th confronter Cricket Big Match – Battle of the Golds on the 31st May, 2008. The Shivanandian Team won the toss and elected to the batting first.
Shivananda Vidyalaya won by 33 runs reaching a score of 131 runs all out for 35 overs. While Trinco Sri Koneswara Hindu College scored 98 runs all out for 32 overs.
From Shivananda Vidyalaya, Batticaloa:
K. Yathisraj 42 in 59 balls, 5-4s,
Y. Saruvinothan 17 in 26 balls, 2-6s,
R. Rishanth 16 in 24 balls,
M. Prasath 10 in 09 balls, 1-6s & 1-4s
K. Yathisraj & Y. Saryvinothan at the 4th wicket partnership scored 42 runs.
K. Yathisraj & M. Prasath at the 7th Wicket partnership scored 13 runs.
The MAN OF THE MATCH was awarded to K. Yathisraj from Shivananda Vidyalaya.

A 3D structure of the 'Geetha Upadesam' scene has been ceremonially opened recently.
Shivandanda Vidyalayam is the first declared National School in Batticaloa, from May 1994.
This official website was launched with the help of Shivananda Past Pupils' Association of Canada.
